Slumber Girlz
Our objective was to design a toy package that involves zero to little waste. The goal of this is to be more sustainable in designing packages in order to reduces as much waste as possible. My plan was to create a foldable doll bed, in which the box packaging will act as the bed itself in order to prevent the outer box from being thrown away.
Early Sketches
Final Dieline
The final dieline is a thin and long box, measuring to 5×13×3 inches. Instead of the lid opening from the long side, it opens from the end of the box. This is because the lid will act as the bed frame once folded. The dotted line on the dieline is where the lid will be folded to create the bed frame and complete the transformation of the box.
